Chamber Machine

The chamber machine was the first electron beam welding system type. Normally, a chamber machine is equipped with a x/y coordinate table. It can be extended by further manipulators such as turning, swivel, tilting or lifting devices as well as any kind of multiple-use devices. The  electron beam generator can be installed vertically and horizontally.
Chamber machines have a volume of <0,1 m³ up to several 100 m³. Pro-beam constructed a chamber machine with a size of > 600 m³. Depending on the chamber size and the required pressure the evacuation time ranges between 5 seconds and 1 hour. In case of a chamber machine all non-productive times (workpiece change, evacuation, ventilation) are added on the welding time.

Advantages:

  • high flexibility
  • multiple-use devices available
