Through-Welding

In the through-welding process a part of the electrons leaves the workpiece from the back side – normally about 20 % of the electrons. Depending on the parameter setting a "narrow" or a "wide" weld seam is created. At the beginning of the weld seam a material accumulation occurs and at the end a weld puddle. This is caused by the material transport occurring during the deep welding process.

A sufficient beam power allows for through-welding depths of up to 200 mm in steel and 300 mm in aluminium.
