Universal Two-Chamber Load Lock Machine S450-EB2

EADS-Astrium Space Transportation is a world-wide leading company for satellite system fuel tanks. The universal two-chamber load lock machine S450-EB2 is able to weld titanium tank systems with a maximum length of 3m and a diameter of 1.6m. The special feature of the system is the load lock concept which allows for evacuating and venting the tanks simultaneously with welding. The system is equipped with two 150kV EB generators that are optionally driven by a high-voltage tank. In addition to automatic vacuum routines the system offers an automatic beam parameter alignment function and automatic seam tracking. The high beam quality of the EB generator allow for the execution of welding works requiring a large working distance (up to 2m). This system exceeds by far the requirements of the industry standards.
