A fully automatic machine system for electron beam welding of frog points made of standard rails having a very high carbon content. It was developed in cooperation with DB Netz AG (German Railways).
One component of this fully automatic machine system is the UMH heating machine. With this machine the standard rails mounted on devices are heated homogeneously and demagnetized for electron beam welding.
The uniform, controlled and stress-free heating of standard rail by using the UMH technology is an important technologial component for the production of high-quality frog points.
