The pro-beam factories in Burg and Suzhou (China) have succeeded in becoming certified according to European quality standard EN 9100 for the aerospace and defence industry. Worldwide there are only 12,000 active companies certified by NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defence Contractors Accreditation Program).
The NADCAP program was launched at the beginning of the 90's by leading American politicians and aerospace manufacturers. The entire international aerospace industry and their supply chain had to demonstrate a standardised cost-effective approach to quality assurance with specific manufacturing processes being audited according to uniform standards.
This approval for our certified special electron beam welding process must be revalidated with an audit every year to ensure that all checklist items are still valid.
Our well-founded, in-depth knowledge provides the basis for our qualified processes, with procedures, requirements and implementation being re-confirmed in our daily work schedule. These vital details are all being continually elaborated and improved by the pro-beam team.
To get this project up and running and meet the NADCAP requirements, the employees at both sites each had to independently invest between 12 and 14 months of thinking, planning, work, time, patience and nerves. After it all we were delighted and proud with the result and what we managed to achieve.
With this proof, the pro-beam group has demonstrated that it is a reliable partner for all international aerospace and defence industry OEM´s.
