Neukirchen – February 4, 2019: The pro-beam Group, one of the world's leading companies in the field of electron beam and laser technology, is relocating its headquarters from Neukirchen to Stollberg.

After a complete reorientation and the relocation of the headquarters to Gilching near Munich, this is the next step towards a successful future for the company. As part of the restructuring, the two main pillars of contract manufacturing and plant construction were strengthened and linked more intensively; at the Neukirchen site, plant construction for customers from the automotive and aviation industries has been the focus since then.

pro-beam is investing 13 million euros in the new building on the three-hectare site in Stollberg – 3.2 million euros of which were sponsored by the Free State of Saxony. The foundation stone for the company building was laid on 25 January 2019; construction is scheduled to start in summer 2019. First, the feeder road has to be completed. The workforce will move into the 9,300 m² building as early as next year. Pro-beam will not only relocate its headquarters but will also create about 50 additional jobs for the region – from apprenticeships to positions for dual students and professionals. The new building will have a total capacity of around 160 employees.

The new building will greatly improve the working conditions for the entire workforce. The planned office complex will create a lot of space for flexible office configurations and will allow employees to work in a contemporary manner. In addition, the entire hall concept will be adapted to the production process and the hall will be suitable for heavy goods vehicles. A spacious bistro with additional outdoor lounges will provide for the physical well-being of the employees. There are also parking spaces for bicycles, cars and electric vehicles. Thanks to the exposed location, employees have direct access to the local city railway – the workplace is therefore very easily accessible.
